End2End Cycling Relay: A Community Effort to Fight Childhood Cancer
The End2End cycling relay fundraiser, a two-day, non-stop, 1,000-kilometre bicycle relay from Victoria to Port Hardy and back, has once again proven to be a remarkable success. This year's event, which took place in June, raised an impressive $301,686 for the Island Kids Cancer Association (IKCA). This is a significant increase from the inaugural event in 2025, which raised over $110,000.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the dedication and hard work of the cyclists and their supporters. Over the course of 48 hours, a team of nine cyclists faced the gruelling challenge of riding through windy conditions, dark nights, and fatigue. The organizers, led by Andy Dunstan, attribute this success to the team's outreach to more donors and the addition of various fundraising events. These included activities such as hockey games, concerts, lemonade stands, and cookie sales.
