The Corky Canvas Lincoln: Closing Down at the End of 2025 (2026)

Bold statement: The Corky Canvas in Lincoln is shutting its doors at the end of 2025, marking the end of an era for local art lovers. In Lincoln, a well-known painting studio has announced it will close its doors for good at year’s end.

The Corky Canvas’s Lincoln location, situated near Ninth Street and Pioneers Boulevard, will cease operations by December 31. In a message posted to Facebook, the studio reflected on more than ten years of collaboration with the Lincoln community, highlighting the creation of “amazing art” alongside local participants.

“We want to thank all of our loyal and amazing customers that we have had over the years,” the statement read. “Creating with our community has been a lot of fun, and we will miss you tremendously.”

No specific reason for the closure was provided. Notably, the Corky Canvas’s Omaha location will continue to operate as usual.

The final public class in Lincoln is scheduled for December 31 at 5 p.m., giving local students and enthusiasts a last opportunity to create together at that site.
